Transmission plug gone? HELP!

Default Transmission plug gone? HELP!
can someone look in their tt engine bay and tell me if this piece should be plugged, i see a hole with internals to what looks to be the tranny, Id very much appreciate it

It's a hole to line up the marks on the flywheel to tdc. Most people have lost theirs and it doesn't seem to be an issue. I believe ecstuning sells new ones.
