Transmission Problem Full Story
First Off, if anyone knows the sizes for the input and output bearings for a 2004 TT 225 6 speed manual I would apreciate if they post them for me, i need to buy aftermarket warranty is gone.
Heres the full story:
About 6 months after i got my car I was going kinda fast and the clutch suddenly stayed up. Pulled over to emergency lane and noticed hardly any gearing and clutch pedal tending to stay depressed. I limped to my Audi dealership and they said it was my fault and that I didn't know how to shift well and had the clutch messed up. I lowere my head and said fine sorry I'm a dumbass and they charged me $350 for the clutch plate which they didnt put the old one in my trunk like they always do with old parts. So im breaking in this new clutch and since day one i told the technician it didnt feel right, he said I was a dumbass and told me to go away(not in those words exactly). 2 months still breaking in the car stopped shifting while backing out of my office, platform tow it to Audi and told them what was up, they tried the same story and so I gave them the finger and hollered all over the service office about my thousands of hours shifting grand am cars. Insulted a few mechanics but none came out to collect on the free offer for wupass i was oferring. So they changed something and took the transmission out and stuff, didn't charge me and gave me a flimsy explanation. Swore never to bring it in again, car started up AGAIN same issue so i decided to upgrade clutch and flywheel. Inspecting the clutch showed a brocken clucth, not worn, brocken i guessed the material was flawed. When i turned the key, huge chatter, went away pressing the clutch and i could not believe my bad luck was so bad as to get a new slave that was brocken. I decided to check the transmission fluid and noticed many metallic shavings also had noted the clattering came from the gear side of the tranny, so my guess is the bearings have been messed up since the first time the shaft moves and the sprung clutch and double mass dampened the flexing effect sound. Now that the clutch is rigid and flywheel is single mass it shows from day one. So now I wanted to know if anyone has the sizes of these bearings since they asked me $450 dollars for the full set and i much rather buy them on my own, of course they would not tell me the sizes. thanks anyone reading this whole thing.

Wow.. I feel for your pain, but if you are getting the Audi Dealership to actually do transmission on your car for $350 and $450.. wow. I just paid $360 at the dealership for a freakin' OIL CHANGE and they overfilled it by nearly a quart and sent me on my way and then accused me of overfilling it when I came back in screaming. I'm begining to think the Audi shop near me is hiring ex Jiffy Lube employees that have breathed in too many fumes. I hope you get it all sorted out. You should start with getting a case number with Audi-USA and get it on the books.
