Anyone else have a TT that makes strange click-clack noise in the rear end when you drive over
bumps or potholes and such? And if you do, what the hell is it. I've torn the rear end apart and can't find anything loose or anything only 25k on this 2000 tt1.8Q.[:@]

 

sounds like a tie rod problem or a lower control arm. Are the joints solid? No play?

 

false alarm. It turns out that the freakin noise is, was coming from that stupid racing style fuel
door. There seems to be play in the latch and it makes the worst sound like clanking metal when
you go over bumps and stuff. I'm glad I found this out after almost complete dis assembly of the rear end of my car. I guess building race engines for over 15 years didn't help me out much F!@#ck. [:@]
