My 2001 Audi TT couple occasionally stalls when I am driving. Tonight for example, in fourth gear coming out of a curve. The car stalls (tachometer and speedometer go to zero) and then immediately restarts. This has happened several times over the last month. My mechanic cannot recreate the problem at this point. Any ideas?

 

Maybe air leake from piping??
Do you have a blowoff valve installed on your car??
If you do..that might be it.

 

So it stalls when getting on the pedal to accelerate into a corner? What type of gas do you use?

 

sounds electrical. Look for possible shorts, and if you can, get your battery and alternator tested.
