I run VAG-COM on Vista with the USB cable with no problem. Are you running the latest version of VAG-COM? You may want to search the VAG-COM forums for instructions. Search VAG-COM Forums.

I confused vag-com with the bentley manual.
Ugh yeah vag-com has always worked fine on Vista for me as well.
It wasn't until recently that I got the repair manual to work on Vista.
Sorry for any confusion!

The lighting configuration for the cluster varys depending on year. I can't remember the cutoffs off the top of my head though. Pretty sure we talked about this a couple months ago.
