Turbo Noise
Can anyone Help?
I have had my TT for over 2 years now and not really had any issues with it. But now I want to sell it the Turbo has started making a different noise to normal. Power hasn’t been affected and the turbo kicks in at the usual RPM but the problem is the noise.
For the last 2 years it has made a sort of hissing noise like its releasing pressure which I guess is normal but now it sounds like hydraulics moving.
Has anyone any ideas?

is the hissing noise heard only in boost mode?
yes= possible cracked or ruptured boost side hoses
no=
then check for vacuum leaks in the pcv system/hoses under inlet manifold.
A brush and soapy water might be your friend.
