Default Turbo swap KO3-KO3s

I'm planning on buying a used KO3s. I was wondering if it will bolt right up to my car, you know no surprising snags.
I read the sticky and it says that I have a KO3 on my ATC motor.

Will I need to buy any extras to fit the "newish" turbo in there?

I also searched and found that it is a direct bolt on but I just want to make sure.

<Cincy> Do you still have that spare KO3s?

Shouldn't need anything...other than a lot of patience. From looking at it, it seems ridiculously tight. I'm just going to pull my motor and knock out that and some other stuff.

I have a strong feeling that mines in its last stages. I don't have any smoke coming out but it does sound like a drill. You can hear the turbo spool in a bad way.
The car has 155,000 miles on it so I think the turbo had a good run, I just need to freshen up the turbo.
I also read that the TIP needs to be changed, something about the KO3 being smaller than the KO3s?

The ko3 and ko3s are identical on the outside (well, minus the muffler on some). The only difference is the upgraded 8blade compressor wheel on the S and someone measured the turbo inlets (id not od) and said showed the ko3s is a tiny bit larger. So they are a strait swap, i have dont it myself as im sure you know (i have an ATC also). No i dont have the extra turbo anymore, someone bought it awhile back.

I found an install kit on ECS for cheap so this install will go done in a couple of weeks.
Its been a lot of little stuff lately, I just replaced the inner CV boot yesterday. Suprising enough the whole process was very easy.
Thanks again guys.

I may have a ko3s coming up for sale its got 100k on it though but i figured id throw it out there.

Im not sure if it has any problems or not its building boost just fine abut when i did my fmic install over the weekend the back of the turbo had a decent amount of oil on the back of it . Not really sure it thats an issue or not.

None the less over this winter im doing a ko4 swap anyway so i'll be getting rid of the old ko3s or turning it in to a paper weight or something lol
