vacuum leak??
So, the other day...
I was driving down the road doing about 55, I hear what sounds like a vacuum hose popping... loud PSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! And I try to accelerate after that and if my boost goes about 3 PSI the engine starts to sputter like it's going to stall... I could also hear the turbo spool a LOT louder from inside the car. I looked at the hoses up top and I don't see any rips or holes... I can't really tell where the leak is or if my turbo just say adios.
Where do I start looking since it sounds like a big enough rip and affects the turbo process...
And how much would it cost to overhaul the vac lines in this thing? Any help would be awesome, as always.

Sounds like you had a hose pop off somewhere between your turbo and your manifold. Think pressure, not vacuum. Pay good enough attention, and you'll notice this question come up almost once a month, even though its not something you'd really expect to happen.
Found it! It was the ginormous hose comming from the intercooler. It made complete sense considering I had an incident with a left turn powerslide understeer and a grassy knoll which resulted in a millisecond of being airborne. Hopefully that's all she wrote.
Thanks for the quick response!
