Methanol, Ethanol, Propanol, Butanol, all alcohols, doesn't mean they're the same.
Each one is chemically different, and the more you add to the chain, the more variations there are, so before you go lumping them all together, make note of this.
But dey is all alkeyhol!

im not making an arguement, im stating facts.

ask 225TT, clipse, or nuer0tic (well, if he turns off the w/m)how it is and im sure they are happier with it off, and not just for the noise.

You cant tell me you dont notice that everyone follows, Audi should change it from "Never Follow" to "Follow any other Audi owner because its been done, regaurdless if it performs"
As stated before, I wired the main power wire from the controller for the w/m to the fog lights (controller tells the pump when to turn on based on the airflow to the MAF. for instance, I have mine set to begin 10% injection at 3.0 volts signal from the MAF sensor, then 100% injection at 4.5v from the sensor. I set the 100% injection threshold very high so I dont waste methanol unless the pedal is completely floored basically)

I did this so I can just turn the fog lights off if I want NO INJECTION whatsoever at any airflow level.

This comes in handy for what Nate was talking about because I removed my VTDA cover during the w/m install... and now I can hit the fog lights and it kills the injection and I can tell if the power increase is coming from the VTDA cover removal... or the w/m.

btw... both made a difference.

Got unisettings to work.

Haven't really had much chance to mess with it... I didadvance the timing by two increments of 0.75 deg each. 1.5 degrees advanced total. I didn't notcie ANYTHING though. Really new to this.. so I really don't know what I'm looking for as far as changes. Will it need to be more than 1.5 advanced?

Anyhow... I didn't do anything with the boost though. Pretty sure I still have a boost leak since I never did get those hoses in yet. I can't even get the boost to go up with the boost machine now past 16psi. I used to get a solid 25psi when i wanted to. I normally ran 22-23psi though. Now i can't get the boost up at all. So Im not messing with that until after i get the hoses.

Can someone please explain to me a catch can... where it goes... and what it does? I've asked a million times and all I seem to get is that it collects oil from one of the air hoses to keep it from cycling back into the engine??!

Audis/VWs have a mini-catchcan. It's the black round thing that is about 3" in diameter and fits into the intake hose. There is another hose (about 1") that comes off the valve cover. While a lot of people swear by them, I think it's just trying to outsmart the real engineers. Some cars, such as Saab, have large oil traps, but we don't.

Anyone have a good link to "Vag-Com for dummies"? Or would you say Vag-Com is probably something Dummies shouldn't use at all?

Still haven't noticed any difference after the Timing advance using Unisetting. -shrugs-

I think your talking about the PCV valve, thats no catch can.

Would w/m noticeably reduce engine temps during prolonged spirited driving (aka track days)? Any disadvantages?
Thats what I really wanted it for, that way I wouldnt have to upgrade the IC. Plus I was hoping it would add alittle extra power without timing, that way if it ran out the engine would still be fine. It gets hot here in GA during the summer (100+) and Im sure the Ics are getting heat soaked. I guess I will have to see if GIAC has or will get a race program for the 2.0T and get that to run on the w/m kit with 93 oct gas.
What part of Georgia?
