So that was without adjusting timing or boost? 20 extra HP would be nice, I think I have enough torque on the car now but a few more is OK.

Just did some searching in the 2.0T forum and they did bump timing a little. Read here steve

Would w/m noticeably reduce engine temps during prolonged spirited driving (aka track days)? Any disadvantages?

Thats what I really wanted it for, that way I wouldnt have to upgrade the IC. Plus I was hoping it would add alittle extra power without timing, that way if it ran out the engine would still be fine. It gets hot here in GA during the summer (100+) and Im sure the Ics are getting heat soaked. I guess I will have to see if GIAC has or will get a race program for the 2.0T and get that to run on the w/m kit with 93 oct gas.

it can take the place of a upgraded ic. Problem with us 1.8t people is that the ic are actually a big restriction unlike you 2.0T people. The stock single smic has like a 2psi pressure drop do to it unable to handle the increase of flow of a chip.

Methanol, Ethanol, Propanol, Butanol, all alcohols, doesn't mean they're the same.
Each one is chemically different, and the more you add to the chain, the more variations there are, so before you go lumping them all together, make note of this.

-Without really looking into it, I'd guess 'alky injection' is a dumbed down term for water/meth?

--Heres some semi-related reading to look over sometime you're bored.

that journeytoforever site I came across last fall looking for designs for a waste oil furnace. tons of fun little 'projects' i'd like to try sometime.
