water meth as a gas solution.
So I thought about this...since water/methanol essentially increases octane of premium fuel to race fuel levels, why not buy cheap 87 and use watermeth with it? It would boost octane to at least 93 levels, yet you could buy cheaper 87 grade fuel.
Of course, there's the question of the costs of methanol as opposed to gas. I don't have meth...so I don't know how much it costs to run. But I know a lot of you do
Also, I don't know if the IAT drop would create even MORE fuel consumption too.

The only reason you don't run out of meth is because it'sonly being usedwhen you're boosting hard.
For that to work you would need to have a constant stream, which would run out muchquicker thana tank of gas.
<~~ Not an expert, but itdoesn't add up for me.
I also can't see buying a performance part and not really using it for performance.

The octane number only really matters when you're on the throttle anyway, so yeah, you could use 87 + WMI in place of running 93 w/o WMI, or, if you feel like being foolish, you could just run 87, turn your boost way down, and drive like your geriatric, save gas, and totally forget performance.
