For the effort just get a BT, you'll have far more potential, and the work involved vs. power produced will make you ask why you got the K04 within 6 months

dont put a 225 ko4 in, you think 500 for a chip is a lot, then your in for a suprise for just a ko4. not to mention when you chip your 180 youll pretty much get the same gains-ish as a stock ko4... if you want to do a new turbo go bigger, such as a t3/t4 50trim or a gt28rs... something along those lines

hey man, stick with the chip and maybe down the line a dowpipe. Heck those two together would proably be close( if not less) than what it would cost to upgrade your turbo along with all the other things that youll need with it. Keep it simple. By the way, CincyTT is like the expert when it comes to the 180 TT. Listen to him and youll never go wrong haha

Alright people... What would be a great add for the money? I know I could upgrade the turbo to the t3/t4 but I would have to spend a lot to do it and I dont think it would be that great of a gain.. I am really not trying to be cheap but I dont want to drop 500 to remap if I will not even tell the difference and I am getting taken by an gsr integra.. Does anyone have a good proven upgrade that was worth the money?? I would not mind dropping 1k if it was going to put me in like 290 hp. But drop 500 for a remap that will probably only get me 30hp and drop another 700 on a ebay special turbo kid and that will only get me maybe another 30 if I push the same boost. How is it that a lancer can do small upgrades and be crazy fast and a WRX but isn't possible for the TT? I am not trying to trash on TT's by any means cause I own one but I would like to start putting this together so I can smoke other cars and start getting respect from other TT owners.

These are the best mods for the money:
1. chip - 30hp - $500
2. downpipe - 12hp - $200
3. exhust - 12hp- $650

30 hp for $500 is about the cheapest hp you can buy.

well to be perfectly honest with you, the TT isnt exactly a racing machine(it can be in certain situations like "Gottzilla". If you wanted something like that you should have gotten a STi or Evo. The TT though is more refined though, and has luxury and style. You kinda just have to compensate for one or the other.
You could still do these

Remap- close to +40hp in some cases( my revo chip gave close to 50hp, that was 3-4 years ago and i even had it dyno'd (the 275hp was a spike in power so really its not really usable)
Downpipe- 42DD claims around +15hp
Exhaust- really works well with the DP
or just go small and simple- Like a TIP or Dv relocation

Either way you go, a TT is expensive to mod up. Every part counts, it just depends on how much your willing to pay. With an Audi, there is not such thing as cheap mods lol, unless you want some stickers
