30 hp for $500 is about the cheapest hp you can buy.
Hey where can i get a DP for 200$$---are you talkin about a custom build perhaps??? cuz id jump on that rather than spending a fortune on a 42 DD

Wow, sounds like a bunch of the same thing from everyone.. Downpipe, exhaust, and remap. Is that all Audi has left.. Is there a audi out there that is pushing over 300hp without taking out a home equity line of credit?

Only reason why I am saying this is because I gave up my Nissan 300zx TT and now I still want the power but in my Audi... I was pushing 325 in the 300.

Audi tt is a spendy car to tune. If u want a lot of hp for little money. Go with an Evo , STI

Just to make sure I am reading this right... You are saying it is cheaper for me to go and buy a evo or a sti then it is to fix up my audi... So that 25k I will spend on that sti or evo is less than I would put on a bada$$ turbo kit with fmic, remap, dp, and a couple of other small things.... Am I reading that right?

Well. If you want your TT to have 500+hp.. Then yeah. That's what I'm sayin
But u can get EVO's for 15-17grand

I have a 2003 180 fwd. Paid 14,500. By the time I rebuild the engine(to hold 500+hp)big turbo kit and rebuild the automatic tranny(to hold the TQ). Yeah ill be pushing 25k

Please dont reply to anything else if you are going to promote another car... I am asking about the audi... Not some car I dont have any interest in.. Evo- dont want.. WRX - def dont want.. If you have some advice on how you got to 500 in your car then fire away but I know I will not be spending 10,500 on a little over 300 extra hp.

I hate when people say stuff like this. The 1.8T has plenty of potential but people dont put the same amount of time/money into it. Evo people are building setups that change everything, not just add on a turbo and chip tune and call it a day. People that put the same amount of money into the car are making the power they should. A turbo will move the same amount of air, just how many psi to do it depends on the engine.

Also, why is this thread still going?

This really is all covered in the FAQ and answered many times in a search and probably the first 3-5pages on here

As I said prior... It looks like everyone is saying the same thing about how to fix up an audi tt.. It looks as if no one has gone any further with this. Its horrible that audi's are not fast and does not have potential to a fast car without spending enough to buy another car. This is not a high end car and people need to stop treating it as if it was.. The car value on a tt has dropped to where people can consider if they want to remodel there bathroom or buy this car.. It is sad... I am done with this thread and hope there is more information later on that can be helpful to make some horse power.. My old 300zx TT actually is valued higher than my tt right now. That is what is really sad...
