Default When to do 2nd timing belt replacement?

2001 TT180HPQC

I had the timing belt, tensioner and water pump replaced at 60K. It's my understanding from the class action lawsuit that the belt and any related engine damage is now warrantied for 100K. But I'm wondering about the water pump and the tensioners. Are they covered for 100K as well? I know that my new water pump has the metal impeller and the tensioner was the new style. I guess my question is how long would you go before you replaced all 3 components again? 100K? 60K? 80K?

Since they only last about 60-80k miles before the tensioner gives, when do you think you would do it again? If you have a metal waterpump, you dont have to replace it again, if its plastic, replace ith with a metal pump.

Dont count on AofA to really take car of you, especially on a car made 10 years ago

Cincy- Whats up with the attitude? You have been gone for weeks on your own forum and then come back here to be an asshat? I'm surprised you don't lock your own threads for being off topic. You know these cars and I would like to hear your suggestions, but only if they are respectful. Get off your high horse, AGAIN!

OP- I would wait till about 70k after you first changed it, unless the car is in overall poor condition and then prehaps just drive it till it dies... likely 95k after the first tb job.
