I got one when I had my car repainted. The part was $85 unpainted. It's not a simple install. You have to take off the bumper. The body shop ordered it from the dealership.

It looks good though. The front end looks clean and round.

The euro plate cover just snap into place. They are tricky to find so dealership or hopefully ebay.

I think we are talking about different things. I was refering to the little rectangle cutout in the actual bumper, not a plate mount. I swapped out the bumper part, because mine had holes in it as well.

You can take the plate mount off without taking off the bumper. You have to remove the bumper to swap that cutout out.

Hope this makes sence.

I had a similar problem when I bought my car from a guy in CA. I decided to try a custom euro plate and I love it. It was like $35 including all the hardware and stuff (compared to the trouble and expense of finding a cover and having it painted).

I am sitting on the same problem. I plan on taking it to a recommended body shop and have them sand, fill, and paint the existing piece on the car. This IMO is the best way. Should be less expensive than a replacement. Good luck, let us know how it goes.

If you're dealing with small holes from a license plate, should be an easy DIY fix. Simply apply some filler and touch up paint, and you're good to go.

When I had it done on my car, the body shop said it was best NOT to fill the holes. The materal is a hard plastic and a likely impact point. This is the worst case for bondo. Theres a good chance it'll crack.

I'd be super pissed if I hit the back of my garage at 1mph and my bumper went to hell.

i tried sanding/filling with my old TT. The screws used to hold the standard US plate bracket pulled the plastic out on the euro plate cover. More work than it was worth to try to smooth it. Shokan MIGHT have a used one considering their proximity to Pennsylvania, where front plates aren't required. Maybe you can get one off a wreck. Euro plate isn't a bad idea though...
