I know I need the 4.5v 1 w zener diode to get more boost with my mbc but where can I buy one from?
I searched the net a lil bit and found several diode sources but none that listed that specific voltage.

try digikey.com or mouser.com or allied.com. If these places don't have it, they don't make it.

Also- it's ok to use a higher wattage

I just realized my scribble from cincys how to reads 4.3v instead.
I saw a ton of THAT voltage for sale on almost every site I visited.

looked thru a ton of crap today, couldnt find my diodes, or my other cell phone battery, which pisses me off since thats my non-water damaged looking battery, and I wanna turn my phone in under insurance for a new one.

I'll keep looking, but I have no idea where they could be.

if you have a 225 look into a king clamp you can dial in the voltge to exactly what you need voltage wise
