Modshack TTDA or VTDA intake, will allow cooler and higher intake flow than stock, VTDA is louder(throaty engine sound and can hear "blow off" between shifts) will smooth out your rev band a bit as well

Modshack ****, larger MAF sensor housing, allows more airflow, therefore you will need a 4 bar fpr to allow more fuel (hense more air you need more fuel to retain proper air/fuel ratio)

Modshack boost machine, adjust boost onset and delivery, improves boost smoothness, peak boost, etc.

More info at http://www.modshack.info follow some of the links to write-ups, very helpful for the knowledgable reader.

most chips increase boost to 1 bar (about 15 psi) adjust timing, A/F, etc. for more power

exhausts free up back pressure to allow better exhaust flow

fmic, creates cooler intake temps, intake maniflold will be cool to the touch with a well made one

feel free to add any info or opinions......

intakes will add about 5-7hp
exhaust 7-15% over stock
chips 30hp(180) 35hp(225)
fmic, don't really add hp but when hot out provides cooler intake temp which means more hp (point being, wont do much in winter)

If you have a 180 then one of the 1st things is a 3 in downpipe and 2.5 to 3 in exhaust, big gains there. After the chip of course.

I know, I'm such a cheapo... But I'm buying an electronically-actuated exhaust butterfly (diverter, cutoff) valve... Basically, I'm going to keep my stock exhaust (well, except for bypassing the resonator), and bolt in a cat bypass pipe before it splits into two cats. However, in that bypass pipe will be my cutoff valve, which I can open and close with the push of a button.

So, I will be able to go from somewhat stock to totally free-flowing (after a free-flow muffler, of course) at the push of a button.

3" downpipe is definitely something I'm going to invest in.

That whole system could net quite a few ponies, so I'm looking forward to it. Plus, I'd like to be able to hear more of the grumble :P

BTW, as for hp added by an intake... some say 5-7, I've seen 8-10 with some systems. Also, that's what Steve Scwhing claims for his intakes... I've grown to trust his analysis of these cars!

I wonder what a 225 would feel like, however mine is oddly fast.

Alex's car is also quite fast...i was with him when we beat ...I believe it was a Evo... is that right alex?
No it was not an Evo, It was a manual WRX. We had 4 people in my car and so did WRX, the guy could defenetly drive the car well but I still pulled on him after 90mph.
Also raced a 2002 BMW 328ci 5spd, we raced a few times and each time after I hit 45-60 i would pull on him and leave him behind.
Another race was with a Pontiak GTP 3.8 supercharged version and I would pull on this guy after 60 too.
All these cars I believe are mid 6sec to low 6sec cars 0-60 and I still managed to beat them .
Just a little information on how fast the LExus is.

WRXs are fast to 60 due to the AWD, but they lack any grunt above that... I've driven enough WRXs to be able to say that. I love the cars, and they are fantastic little machines, but they are not fast, they're quick.

Sorry to sound like a downer, but we need to be clear on the difference between fast and quick.

A friend of mine has a chipped 225. My stock 3.2L TT (bought while stationed in Germany) destroys his off the line. Can't wait for my warranty to expire so I can MOD it. Too bad I can't afford the turbo kits. Starts at 9K! Besides racing my friend, I've only race 3 other cars: a SHO (I took him 4 times), a civic (LOL too funny), and a 06 Viper... Think he didn't want to hurt my feeling too bad. We were in bad traffic but still hit ~135mph. Was fun even though he could have SMOKED me.
