I was driving along and heard a loud noise from my window (driver door). After that, my window will not go down (glad it broke when it was up). The driver switch still operates the passenger window ok, but when I push it for the driver door window, no sound, nothing.

Any ideas if I should be changing the switch or the motor? Dealer is out of the question, I won't take it to them for something I can diagnose and fix myself.

 

what do you mean 'loud noise'? vague description of problem can only expect vague description of fix.
