Great information here on turbo upgrades, but no real dollar value figures. Is it possible to touch 300bhp with $2000 if you can safely avoid kits and piece a few things together yourself?

 

Anything is possible - I got coilovers for $65 for example - but it's not likely.

 

How about $3000, I don't really want to throw more than that at the car, really because it's a stepping stone to what I really want, and RS5. Maybe I'll just stick to looks. The slowness of the car is really getting annoying though, especially coming from a muscle car background. However, the interior quality is superior.

 

you could probably swing a used gt2x setup for that.

 

Just look for used parts or do a handful of easy mods to tide you over...you'd be surprised how much more fun the car is with a chip!

 

i just bought a gtrs elim from mike hook at ringer-racing.com

i should have about 250awhp, which is over 300bhp... if you don't do any upgrades yopu can get it for 3000 or less, my total was right about 3300
