To address the post above, the 30v runs 5w30 as well. You can run synthetic oil if you want, but the 30v (and 12v) are perfectly fine on conventional oil (aka melted dinosaurs). The 1.8T, 2,0T, and 2.7T should ONLY run synthetic oils (due to the excess heat from turbocharging), and I believe the 4.2 runs synthetic as well. The 3.0 and 3.2 I don't know.
