Default RE: ****I want the best most reliable snub mount available...is there a good one out there?********

Something like 2 or 2.5 inches,I guess. I have the ATW motor, not the AEB,and I think there is some difference.
But like I said, I made suremine was all the way on the spindle first, until it felt like it was seated right with the bump on the spindle. Then I pushed the mount into the bracket. So Brian, maybe your mount isn'ton the spindle all the way, but I don't know if your's is different being a 1998.5, if i remember right.

yeah its a 98.5. and no matter what i did, i couldn't get the mount on the spindle fully. plus there was no way to get the bracket on with the mount already on the spindle without removing the radiator. but its not worth all the trouble to adjust it again anyways, im happy with how it is now.

Beer Mod...would you happen to have any experience swapping clutches?...I have only ever helped with a friends civic, so, when i do mine and Kyle's (pyropenguins) we will basically be going by a DIY, it would be awesome if you could come down for a clutch day! (Kyle has got his new clutch and we are just waitin for a reason to do it)
From what I hear they are a pain in the @ss.........Talk to Steve cuz I don't have time to even party these days [&o]I will come down for a meet when time allows tho

It's probably on good enough then, don't worry about it, I wouldn't worry about it, you shouldn't worry about it. I had to replace the radiator anyway, so I just did it that way.
Does anyone's new snub (excluding stock or OE replacement) not cause vibrations? Auditech79, are we all doing something wrong here?

apr's doesn't as long as you don't tighten it before letting it center. im gona try and center mine again to see if it helps.

chaos....do you have the 034 mount for your snub?...I think that you need to use their mount with their snub...

the 034 snub is tiny compared to all the others, in my mind, the less material to absorb impact, the more vibrations there is going to be...

if you do have the 034 mount. loosen up the nuts and rev it up a bit, let it settle and torque it down...

I would also suggest driving it for a month or so, I have read that a few people have installed them and it vibrated less and less, until it almost became un-noticeable...

I think I am going to go for a brand new stock snub...I may call apr tomorrow and have them try to convince me tho

Beermod...Kyle and I will keep you updated on any meets&greet/photoshoot deals goin on down here....and definately hit either of us up if you are coming through town, I know we would both love to go for a BT ride! I am sure the clutch is doable, it's just going to take time...[&o]

alright...anyone else have a snub worth talking about?

i have both the 034 bracket and snub and i let it center already. it reduced the vibration from how it started out, but it still vibrates a little. i'm gona try centering it again and see if it helps, if not im not that concerned about it. i might try apr in the future if i can find one for cheap
