The DVR, when it was still produced, we recommended that it be installed with boost entering the bottom port.
this isnt clicking in my head who has a pic??

however if your plans include BT you may want GIAC as the BT reflash is discounted ifyou already have tuning from them.
I doubt the discount is more than the $370 you save going speedtuning over GIAC though. Also, GIAC only has a k04 file right now, that's like SBTST (slightly bigger than stock turbo), not BT. There are rumors floating around of GIAC doing some real BT tunes though...

I sent Oliver (speedtuning) my ecu via snail mail, it took like a week to get there and then he sent it back in 2 or 3 days....

I am in cali and he is in MD, so i expect it will prolly take 3 days if you overnight it

you can overnight with usps for like $20, thats what I did. I sent mine Saturday and got it back by Wednesday.

Yeah that sounds good but I cant be with out my car for that long thats what sucks.

I got a spare ecu with similar part #s out of the same year VW Passat 1.8T. I bought it for $125 and sent that one out. I still had my stock ecu, so I didn't have to go without a car for the week. Try looking on the classifieds or local junk yards for a used ecu for your year.

^+1, i did the same thing. I bought an ecu on eBay for 50$ and sent it to oliver....
