Default 0-60 times

i personally have a 2000 a4 1.8Qt amd love it and i am totally psyched cuz my dad is about to buy mom a 99.5 a4 2.8Qt with everything but sat/nav. I cant wait to drive it to see how much faster it is than mine. but i read some where that the 2.8 is slower than the 1.8, and it does feel kinda sluggish while riding in it. But its hard to believe the 2.8 is slower. Any one know the 0-60 times on these 2 cars? By the way both cars are bone stock.

Stock for stock the 2.8 is the faster one but it is not mod friendly. The 1.8t can be chipped and that alone will bring it up to the power of the 2.8. Also the general limit for the 2.8 is about 290 crank hp w/ a PES G2 supercharger installed. Where the 1.8t has plenty of turbo options from mild k04 upgrade to full on GT35r turbo. If it were a manual 1.8 vs a tip 2.8 it would probably be fairly even. I have a 99.5 2.8qm though and I love it. Although I am rather ambitious w/ some idea's that have rolled through my head on modding it lol.

PS. The q in quattro is lower case not upper case! lol

Well you said you read that the 2.8 was slower I was responding to that. Also the times are pretty easy to find just type in a year make and model then places like msn autos, edmunds, and a few others pop up many of which will have what your looking for. And the quattro thing I was just messing around with you on its in the history of quattro video I think.

Anyways here is my 30v 2.8 quattro manual 0-90

Also there have been plenty of topics on this in the past. A quick search should bring a few of them up.
