Default 00 a4 turbo question

ive just recently noticed oil in my intake tubing heading toward the intercooler and i can smeel oil through the exhaust. ive been told that the seals in the turbo begin to leak and cause this. is it better to replace with a stock k03 or upgrade into either a k04 or maybe a td04 or equivelent

read the stickies. Its a matter of opinion, power goals and of course your bank account.

How much oil? Because oil in the IC pipe/hose is normal since the crank case breather feeds into the turbo inlet hose.

If you do end up needing to upgrade the turbo and want more power just buy a Elim kit.

Yeah, I had more drip out of mine. You're smelling oil and unburnt gas from your exhaust because of the testpipe. It doesn't filter for one, and (correct me if I'm wrong) the drop in temperature around the 02 sensor caused by the free flowing exhaust has caused your car to run SLIGHTLY rich, thereby giving you an unburnt fuel smell in the exhaust.

manual boost controllers are engine suicide.
You need to be able to control the fuel maps as well. Chips are the way to go.
