Poetic justice indeed! Hopefully this is only the BEGINNING of problems for him. Hoping all of us who were scammed by him get our cash back and may some angry forum member inflict some frontier justice upon him.

pay pal told me there was nothing i could do because the description didn't say what I was paying the guy for. stupid on my part, i guess

I WOULD say that I hate anybody get their car stolen.....

but as already stated, in this case, I'm kinda OK with it.

Wow that sucks. After reading your post I went back to review my transaction with the scammer. Fortunately, I hope, I put a pretty thorough description of the ECU that I was buying in the notes section of transaction.

I just escalated this to a claim over the weekend since seller didn't respond to 6 messages through PayPal. I'm keeping my fingers crossed to get my $250 back.
