Default 18./2.8 Radiator core support the same?

Hello,

I'm in need of a new radiator core support as mine broke in the accident I was in. I found a guy parting out his b5 a few miles away from me. He's got a 2000 1.8 and I've got a 2001 2.8. Are the radiator core supports the same for both vehicles?

Nope, quite different. They're a bit different shape around the top and the lower brace is completely different (1.8t uses the metal boost pipe as the brace while the 2.8 uses a zigzagging flat steel brace). I'm pretty sure the snub mount mounts are also completely different. You might be ale to get it to fit with some hacking but it's not guaranteed.
