Default 1997 A4 1.8T Quattro Upgrading

Hey, I am sort of a newbie to these cars. I am really wanting to make some power out of my car, long term goal is 470awhp... not going to be a daily at that point! Please does anyone have or know of anyone who's made around that and how, please let me know, or even to get started and up to around 300

For a bigger turbo, injectors etc I would need to get a tune. Correct? I've been told with this car there is not many, if any places that will tune my car. Is there any that have a stage 1 flash for my car

It's possible but your looking at a fully built engine top to bottom and a big turbo like a gt35r. If your going for this much power than the best option would be a stand alone ecu.

I have the same car (but mine's a 2001 8D) and I have a completely custom tune.I have all kinds of **** done to my car and with the flash I have and the stock K03 that's on there now, I'm maxing that engine out at (around 250 hp (at the crank).

I have a K04 on my other 2001.5 A4 1.8t, but you're not going to realistically get anything over 300-350hp from the inline 4 w/o spending more money than it's worth. If you want power like that, I would swap to the S4 TT V6 and then boost the **** out of that.

If you want a really good custom tune w/o having to send your ECM out (zero down time), email ian@reflecttuning.com

That guy is awesome.

Thank you for your reply! Would I need a tune if I got a bigger turbo? If so would i have to get a different ecu?

All of the bigger brand tuners, unitronic, apr... don't have anything bigger then a stage 1+ tune so how would I go about tuning for the bt

If all it took was to send my ecu out I would, but from the research I've done, I can't find any places that do custom tunes for my car. I'll email and see if Ian can, thank you very much!

My pleasure. He can definitely do it for you over the phone & internet w/o removing anything from the car. I've done it twice.

I just finished a 2K mile road trip w/my 22psi tune he did and the car ran awesome!
