Hi, i have a 1997 A4 Avant and last week i was driving down the road and my alarm starting going off, the doors started locking and unlocking and the windows were going up and down. i was advised to take 1 of the plugs off my central locking pump to stop this. now my central locking and alarm are not working. My Pump part no is 8LO 862 257 G. Is this a common fault and does anybody have any solutions on how to cure this.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
