99 is fine
normal non Audi people don't know what the .5 even means. Some interior things you need 2000 and some you need 99. It all varies on what it is but generally 99 is the way to go.

You will still search for MY 99. If there is a difference it'll say something like "split is in MY 1999", "to vin #xxxxxxx" (99) or "from vin #xxxxxxx" (99.5).
