I AM SELLING A 1999 AUDI A4 1.8 TURBO AUTOMATIC TIPTRONIC. I HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR ABOUT 1 YEAR it waS GREAT UNTIL I REMOVED THE BATTERY FROM IT. THE CAR SAT FOR ABOUT A WEEK UNTIL I REPLACED IT. AFTER THAT THE CAR WOULD JUST START AND SHUT OFF IMMEADIATLY.
update: the car starts and actually runs if i play with the gas pedal long enough.. but still runs real crappy and hesistates... i disconnected the throtle body and the car idle great... i dont know whats going on with te car but i changed the throttle body with a rebuilt one and still the same thing.... could both b bad.. or u think ive got an ecu problem... its stock but i called the dealer and they said that i might have fried the computer... but... i dont think the car would even run if the computer was shot.....

 

After disconnecting the battery, do a throttle body alignment.
