Default 1999 Audi a4 1.8t Turbo is going! Replacement time

Hey guys! So I just got more things fixed on my car and while I had it at the garage to get front wheel bearings and fuel filter done I found out that my turbo is going bad! Which explains why I burn so much oil! Anyway I am on the hunt for a new turbo! I am looking at doing the Ko4 upgrade. From what I have read it is a direct bolt on in place of the k03. It can run off the stock ECU. Now my question is I have read different sites that say Longitudenal motor? Is that the motor I have? Its a 1.8t with AEB code. The timing belt is at the front of the car so I am guessing that makes it longitudenal? Anybody got a ko4 turbo for sale?? If so let me know! I would like to get one in the next few weeks! Thanks

But it's worth noting that the FWD version of this car is also longitudinal.

Thanks for the responses. I believe the ko4 I need is the ko4-15?

That is correct, though sometimes you'll see it written as K04-0015.

That looks decent for an Ebay turbo, but looks can be deceiving. It would be worth asking the seller for more information on the 1-year warranty (what it covers and replacement policies). Just remember that you to get what you pay for - a turbo is no exception, and being such a vital part of your car you need to be careful choosing one.

I will definitely ask the seller these questions.
