2.8 auto surging

Default 2.8 auto surging
I am having a surging issue on deceleration. I can watch the tach needle jump a bit like the torque convertors going in and out of lockup. Is this the sign of something beginning to fail?

Might also be the trans clutches doing something funny. Have you VAG-COMed the tranny module?

I haven't, but I work at an Audi dealership so I'll get one of the guys to do that. It's not giving a CEL, though.

Tranny module won't throw a CEL. You really need VAG-COM to show what's going on there.
