2.8 full exhaust suggestions
Sounds like the same logic I use for clothing. In the end, you're just getting a shirt so why pay 3-4 times as much for it to say hollister or whatever else?
The Brüllen setup was off of a 2002 S4, from post-cat slip connector it's 2.5" piping (if I remember right) and then the resonator and end muffler is what all I got. I can't guarantee anyone else would be able to snag a deal like this, but I got that eight or so feet of piping and the mufflers for 50 bucks, and then a tacked on 115 to install it cuz it ended up not being quite as bolt on as I had been told and a little bit of welding ended up having to be done. I'm not sure if you can just buy Brüllen mufflers or not though (can't imagine why not either...) so I can't say how much it might retail to just buy a new one vs. looking for a deal like I got.

When I finally have the cash to get at least the muffler welded on then I'll post a video clip. It'll probably be with the resonator.
Edit: Here's the link to a sound clip from the Thrush site. I think the engine is a smallblock 350. http://www.thrushexhaust.com/sounds/welded.html

Yeah, I went on YouTube and searched out Thrush mufflers and found several V6 applications, but they were all domestic engines and sounded kinda ratty. Part or most of that is likely because they're coarser than our engines though - they aren't nearly as smooth as the 30v or 1.8T. Hopefully that'll be preserved with the Thrush too, since the Magnaflows seem to deepen the tone but preserve the smoothness of the Audi powerplants. I was hoping to find an A4 with a Thrush on it but no luck.
