So i picked up a 2.8 MAF today for $20 and from what ive seen you can swap the two MAFs and hook it up to a filter. My problem is my current MAF has a 4-prong and the 2.8 has a 3-prong...is there something im supposed to do to make it work or just afro-engineer it? And i did see the write up somewhere online with the K&N filters what i dont get it is how im going to get this to work?

 

Who ever told you that would work needs to be shot. You need the correct maf that is designed for your car.

Maybe he was thinking 2.0 maf, but even that maf is not meant to be used in a turbo car.

 

SOME parts are interchangeable!! The ONLY rule of thumb IS.....PART number!!!!!!!

ya but i tore about my whole airbox this evening and trying to figure out how to do it but ill resell it no problem! im sure somedumb @ss will buy it but the main reason i asked the guy i bought it from was cuz he had the 3 spoke sport wheel which i have the ugly 4 spoke wheel so i asked him what other parts he has and he had and he said tinted tails, a gauge cluster with 229k on it and a MAF so i ask how much for the MAF and he said that it was replaced 5k miles ago and he asked 20 for it! so i stole it from him

 

Lol since I know what you paid maybe I'll be that dumbass who offers to buy it...
