Default 2.8 qm with acceleration Issue

Car is a 30v qm . Got in a fender bender , its been downhill since . No airbag deployed . Car got salvaged , thats where I bought it . Car does a surge on start up then idles fine . Underload she is very sluggish , then in any gear between 3k-4k she has a moment with no power no acceleration . All power is there , brakes p/s lights , even the tach stays the same . If you wait about ten seconds she'll come back , or a clutch kick will do the same . Very annoying as it happens countless times while driving .
I tried having the codes read , as abs brake and engine lights are all on . The code reader could not connect . Anyone have this issue ?

This guy couldn't read codes till he disconnected the airbag module.

But its pretty common for a fried ABS module to hose up the OBD system. Since yours is alredy on the fritz, I'd start by unplugging that one.
