Post 2.8L 30V Valve Adjustment Questions

Hey, I want to adjust my valves on my 1998 Audi A4 2.8LQ. I am planning to do it myself but I don't know how much space is supposed to be in between. Can someone help me out and tell me how to do it exactly if you have already?

Email me at PluschakovP@yahoo.com for easier communication.

They're hydraulic self-adjusting lifters from what I have seen so you shouldn't need or have a way to do an adjustment. If you're hearing a quick burst of clatter at cold start it's because the lifters need oil pressure to pump up - that's normal.

So that clicking is normal? is there something I can do to make it not do that anymore?

Only at cold start, and only for a second or so. you can't do anything about it because the lifters have to pump up from oil pressure, and it takes that 1-2 seconds to build. If it's doing it longer, then check the oil level to be sure there's enough. Also, do a Seafoam treatment in the oil and change it after 100 miles - if sludge is blocking oil capillaries, that should unclog them.
