Default 2000 2.8L - Upper Oil Pan Replacement

Looking for help on how to replace upper oil pan, upper oil pan really badly damaged, car currently on jack stands, front end off, lower oil pan off, oil pump off, read different places that while supporting the engine I could drop the subframe to get enough clearance to finish the job, but I'm not 100% on the task and looking for input. Anyone every do this job before? Please let me know, Thanks

Default Continuation

So I'm posting an update on my progress,
I've ended up using an engine support bar [harbor freight] to support the engine while I completely remove the sub-frame
to get the sub-frame off I had to remove both lower control arms on both sides, remove the engine mount brackets both sides and remove the bolts that to me look like the transmission mounts that connect to the sub-frame. The engine support bar is now totally holding up the engine completely
I've removed all the bolts from the upper oil pan and now I'm having difficulty actually separating it from the engine block
I've read a few threads that explain in order to do that the starter must come off
and in order to remove the starter I have to remove the alternator
I don't want to do any unnecessary removals so I'm going to attempt one thing at a time and see what works
Anybody got any input let me know.
thanks

I have a 99 2.8 and it's pre-facelift so this might not apply to you, but I managed to take the starter out through the passenger side wheel well. Most of the pain was in the motor mounts so if you've already got those out, it should take all of an hour to get the starter out.

Basically just take the little 8mm (maybe even smaller? not sure what size they were) that hold the black fender cover to the bumper. Pull the brake caliper off then you can reach back and take out the starter bolts and it should pull out.

here's a video of it
