2000 A4 2.8 Exhaust
Well I live in california already, so u guys should bombard them anyways so us 2.8ers can have exhaust options
i jsut called magnaflow, and basically they said that it depends on the amount of cars on the road and the demand for it, so i explained that there are lots of owners that are wanting a full exhaust setup that is still carb legal but cant cuz nobody makes one... so he said well if they feel it is in high demand then they will go from there... so best thing i can suggest is everyone start calling magnaflow and bug the **** out of them
I would propose then that we somehow arrange to get all the 2.8's (12v and 30v) 96-01 together and submit a letter or email with concrete numbers. Who knows, if we cross post on Audizine and other forums we might save time and have a better concentrated effort. Maybe we run a poll first to see who would be interested and go from there.
You guys can have me at the top of the list.

well start one up... i dont have an account there so just add me to ur list lol.. but yea i am DEFINATELY interested.. especially if they wanna use my car as the guinnea pig car haha... free exhaust.. and state legal? haha sweeeet
hahaha no... this is a petition to get them to actually make one first lol... they dont even make an exhaust for the 2.8 lol... thats why we wanna yell at them to do so, that way we dont have to custom make one with different parts from 30 different places
Not to pee in your cheerios but there's essentially nothing gained but sound from a catback on a 2.8. That's why most just do an axle-back with a muffler and a pipe welded up. You'll get the sound that way for a couple hundred bucks vs a grand or more from Remus or Milltek.
Hopefully this will bear out but even so you have to figure that it's gonna cost a lot, probably close to the cost of the others out there. If that ends up being the case then there's really not much point - most of us aren't gonna drop $1000 on an exhaust that changes the sound but doesn't free up any power, so I doubt we would drop $900 with Magnaflow for the same result. Axle-back on a 2.8 is the only route that really makes sense - likely why there's only a couple options out there even now, after the first A4s are now 14 model years old.
