I just bought a 2001 tt a4 on Tuesday didn't even get it home and the engine blew. Owner denies everything wouldn't give money back so now looking for any help to finde a rebulit engine.

 

how much did you pay for it?!?! i would take him to court even if your Bill of sale says "as is" im sure you could get something out of it if you brought him to court or just threatening him with litigation he may decide to give you money back...but yeah man either way that sucks..i had similar scenario with the PO and my car. A number of issues and eventually i put a new engine in on top of all that...where are you located?

I bought it in Nevada there are no laws to protect the buyer. I will try and do something to put a lean on his wages ect. Trying to find a rebulit engine has been very hard. I do live in California so trying to fine the best deal price wise, since i already got scrwed really don't want to pay the high prices that some of these places want.

 

 

so it has been quite awhile since i have done any major updates...but just thought i would do a MINI update and see if i could get some suggestions from the PROS!

so not much has changed on my car other then new water pump, cracked windshield (getting replace thursday), and she is still breathing!

I am finally graduated from college and working my first legit job and am planning to treat my self/my car to something. Basically my hood is faded (sun damage/scratches/rattle can paint job) I was planning to paint my hood, fender, front bumper this spring/early summer but i have two other options.

so basically should i throw money at

-s4 front bumper and paint my hood/new bumper/fender anyway
-keep car the same just paint the before mentioned parts (possibly purchase a pre face lift euro trunk)
-invest in coilovers?
-euro pre face lift trunk

BTW i plan to do most of this anyway but only one at a time haha

any suggestions would be welcomed!


here is a picture of the bumper i was looking at...probably could get it for around 600 cash. Wasnt too sure if it would be a direct fit and would not bother my fog lights? i see there are fog light holes in the picture but wasnt sure if it would line up perfect with my current lights. I see there are holes for fog lights but not sure if it would match perfectly with my current fogs?
