Default 2001 a4 1.8t fwd fuel injector question

Just wanted to know what the stock fuel injectors are on a 2001 Audi a4? And is it angeled or straight? Also top or bottom feed?

Thank you!

Assuming you have an AWM, your injectors are these. Any particular reason you ask? Might help us answer your question a bit better.

Thank you for the reply, just looking at upgrading them rather than getting them cleaned. What would you suggest if you don't mind me asking?

On our cars injectors are only upgraded if a tune calls for upgraded injectors. Stick with the ones you have.

Even like 450cc injectors? Looking at swapping my k03 for a k04, doing that still suggest getting a tune. That's why I've been looking at upgrading my injectors also for the k04

If/when you swap in a K04, you'll get a new tune for that turbo. But still, you'll use whichever size injectors the tuner says to use. On these cars the tune you get dictates which components you use.

Metal man's right. Its a tough concept to get used to if you're not familiar with B5's or forced induction in general. You can't just throw some cams or bigger injectors at it and bolt on power. It all rides on the tune. If you keep the stock 4bar fuel pressure regulator and slap on 450cc injectors, you're going to be spraying WAY more fuel than you should be, and the stock tune can't up the boost or advance timing enough to compensate, so you'll run rich. This is much the same reason you can't just slap a manual boost controller on and run 20lbs on the stock tune, because the ECU can't add enough fuel to keep you from running lean and fragging the motor.

Unfortunately because of what I just said, its difficult to buy parts for an upgrade and bolt them on one at a time. This is how you end up using your kitchen table to store car parts instead of eating on it. (ask me how i know). Beau has an entire room in his house for car parts lol.

Before you start buying parts you need to do three things. First, read the turbo upgrade guide in the FAQ sticky at the top of the B5 forum. Second, read it again. Then decide what your power goals are for your turbo upgrade and go from there. Everybody likes horsepower, so usually the limiting factor becomes either budget or reliability.

That said, if you're thinking K04, you should explore Frankenturbo or a eliminator kit. More bang for your buck. PM me of you have any more questions.
