I bought this kit off of ECS tuning:

My VIN is below 042384 so, it is the correct kit according to ECS for an early model 2001 AWM b5(split in 2001). However, looking under the hood I can only see two belts and the kit includes three(not including timing belt). I wanted to double check so I took it to the dealership and they said I had a two belt system as well...

Is this the right kit? Is there just an extra belt included in the kit?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

The kit correctly includes 4... as it says...

Timing Belt
A/C Belt
P/S Belt
Water Pump Belt

 

If it comes with a internal water pump why would it need its own belt?

 

Doh, forgot about that for 2001. Why indeed.

 

I'm guessing this is a typo. If you look further down there is a kit contents section with the brands listed for all components and they are only listing 3 Continental Belts. One timing belt, 1 AC, and the serp.

 

I noticed that too, so someone must have copied the AEB/ATW listing and pasted it on that page.
