Default 2pc or one Projection

Hey new to the site and was about to order some Projection headlights for my 97 A4.
And was just seeing if these are 2pc or 1pc???

Thanks for all that help.

Welcome aboard.

For starters, the 1-piece projectors headlamps were fitted to the last of the B5 A4's - 1999 - 2001.

Euro S4 had 2-piece projector headlamps, they were unique to the S4, and never fitted to the regular A4 models. These were fitted from 1998 - 1999.

As for the Ebay ones, the Depo units, I've never used them. All I can say is those who've used them here in the UK don't have much good to say about them - the beam pattern's inferior, and even the early class non-projector halogens give better light.

Insurance companies here in the UK will fit Depos, if you're not observant, they're cheap for a reason. Folk here who are wise to insurance company's ruses reject them outright, and demand genuine Valeo ecodes are fitted instead.

I would think if you're going to get the one piece set you'd have to do the 2 to 1pc mod.

I wouldn't get the two piece ones if the one piece costs the same. One pieces look much better in my opinion. The only real advantage of getting the two pieces is that installation would be easier on your prefacelift car.

For your car, you will have to do some fender trimming to get the one piece projectors to fit. The two piece will fit right on. I think the one piece look better, but the two piece would be a direct fit for you. Either way, at least your're getting rid of those fugly non projector lights! The ones in your link are 2 piece projectors, and are fine quality. (I had some on my old 98 A4)

I have the two piece Depo lights on my pre-facelift car and my experience is the opposite. I have HIDs in mine and they work very well, far better than the old style lights. I know a few others who have them and love them also, and I see no difference between them and the one piece lights on Hiwords' car. I recommend them enthusiastically.
