alright i got a question....for some reason my car when i reach 125mph the car bogs down....but i do have a k04 and unitronics tune so i have no clue why i would lose so much power at this speed?? kinda feels like im governed again but up to 125mph i hold 21psi then taper back to 18psi then at 125mph i loose almost everything....i have taken this car to 145 with my k03 and blew the k03 so i know this k04 turbo could take it... any help would be appreciated.

 

have you asked uni about this? i rly think it's an electrical problem more than a parts. when you hit 125, does it act like there's a rev limiter or do you just suddenly lose power for a few seconds and then speed up again like a speed governor?

 

You seem to be taxing either the fuel or spark. Most likely the injectors are not up to the task (low flow).

 

i have bigger injectors 380cc and they are brand spankin new same with the turbo and testpipe....it feels like i have a speed limiter more than a rev limiter because i can rev to 7100 but i never do and this was only around 6k....i sent unitronics an email so hopefully they will get back to me

 

Let me know what they say. I have same problem but I got a gt28 elim setup almost 300 awhp.

 

They must have your chip set to the stock speed gov.

 

yea i did a couple pulls this morning on the dyno and when we hit 125 no problem but there is for sure a limiter....we hit 125 at 15psi and then it cut out so we hit it again still doing about ~120mph and when 125 came around same thing, cut out but still ran hard at 125 just wouldnt accelerate after, at 120 this car still pulls really nice even tho im around 6000 rpm.

 

Well you will hit high MPH on a dyno much easier then on the street seeing that there is no drag being put on the car as it moves forward, so basically you have no resistance. Plenty people have hit 140-145 with a K03 on the street so hitting 125 with K04 shouldn't be a problem once the speed limiter is removed.

I can actually hit around 150 before even getting out of 4th gear and nearly 115 in 3rd but then I make about the same power in 1 cylinder as you do with all 4 lol
