hey im new to this forum and im just looking for someone whos gone through this before. i dont really want to take the panals off to find the sizes because of the cold weather and lack of a garage. i was wondering if anyone happened to know the dimensions all around? any input is appreciated. thanks

 

also id like to add that it is a stock '96 bose system.. but lets be real.. a 96 bose might as well not be bose lol

 

As I recall, the stock Bose speakers came in pretty odd sizes. You're not gonna be able to find direct replacements at best buy or someplace like that. I remember seeing a thread a while back where a guy got OEM replacements dirt cheap from Bose, maybe try contacting them and see what happens?

If you wanna use aftermarket replacements, you're gonna have to do a little bit of fabrication to make them work

 

a friend is coming by tomorrow and were gonna pop the panals and take a look. but yeah from what ive gathered bose likes to be a bitch with their sizing.. anyone have some suggestions on what speakers would work well with my ride? im firmiliar with them id just like to see what others think

 

i have a 98.5 with bose and the sizes are 5.25" in all doors and 6.5" on the deck. i just ordered some replacement speakers for my deck and waiting for them to come in the mail

 

and that leaves me here wondering if 96 and 98 used the same system lol im willing to bet they did
