I hate to sound like a noob... (To Late) but I searched all over the forums for the speakers sizes for rear and front door... for a 2001 A4 QT... I want to get rid of my old radio and install new one.. I know there is post on here with the install and adapters needed... and someone please point me in the right direction... and does anyone know what sizes could be used..

 

I believe 4" up front and 6 1/2 out back.

It's quite a task to totally uninstall the BOSE system and basically rewire the whole car. stop by any audio shop and they will crindge at the idea. I looked into doing it a little but gave up when I was told how much work was involved. Its not like a normal car sterio that you can just get adapters for and plug everything together.

 

5 1/4" in the front and rear doors and 6 1/2" in the rear deck. putting new speakers in is a biotch tho. the mounts inside are custom made for bose and most 5 1/4" speakers will NOT fit inside. changing the deck and putting a crossover and/or equalizer will raise the quality a lot. if i were you i would just do that and leave the speakers
