'97 A4, new battery and starter but wont start
The battery is still good and the starter was changed a few months back under the recall. But all of a sudden the car wont start. It gets close, but just shakes like crazy.
Any ideas before I have to pay to get it towed?

Dave,
Thanks for the ideas. Unfortunately, I have no idea what any of it means. I havea friend coming over to take a look at it tomorrow, I will mention those things to him.

Is it turning over normally? Battery has plenty of juice and starter just keeps turning?
Have you done anything to the car lately, or did it just start happening?
My first guess if this is the case, is to try a thrtottle body alignment. Just turn the key to the on position and leave it there for 60 seconds. Then try to start the car.
Other things to check
ull out all spark plugs and inspect, check for spark at the coil packs. Maybe pull the hose of of thethrottle body and see if its real dirty, and clean it good. Listen for a clicking sound on top of the air filter box, which would indicate a working ignition module. If these things check out, maybe there is a fuel delivery issue.
Good luck, try the TBA first.
