haha, 'youll blow the welds off the intake" good fast and the furious reference. aside from a pes supercharger and a chip to take the dead spot outta the powerband, theres not really that much for a 2.8, if you wana mod id say a 1.8 woulda ben a better route, 2.8 is faster stock but the 1.8 is faster simply after a chip. so imo drive it till it blows n nab a 1.8 if u wana go fast. otherthan that op, she's mighty clean.

And even the PES supercharger is dead. Mainly because no one makes a tune for it anymore and PES won't release it to any other companies to use. So only way is stand alone in the 2.8 with the PES and no one that I've seen has done it well.

It be nice is maestro made a 2.8 cable for things just like this! Id slap an eaton on it in a heartbeat. theres no way to tune it, sort of why i mentioned swapping to s4 wiring.

Ya there are no mods as much of those that own a 1.8t. For now I'm just doing the important ones first. I have so much plans with it as far as looks go.

I think both you and I are in the same boat just recently (3 months ago) picked up a 98 2.8 and I am currently making modifications gradually. I will be curious to see what mods you make since the 2.8's (mine is AWD) are limited in the available upgrades. Let's compare notes as we move through the process.

I am waiting to get my water pump kit installed as well as the valve cover gasket, tire rods, suspension. I purchased the car for the snow and it is serving it's purpose right now so the parts are patiently waiting in my garage.

ya everyone has said little upgrades for 2.8s but honestly, its just all about 'orginality' and adding your 'flavor of style & taste' to it. For now, I'm focusing on important parts, then I will gradually go to other things. I just wish I had a garage....the things i'de do with a garage lol...

VMR V710 on ST COILOVERS. I've had debates with whether to choose H&R on Bilstein. I decided to go with ST Coilovers.

as far as how low I want it:
exactly like this....

RS4 badge=FAIL.

Otherwise, the car looks very nice. I'm always amazed at how much painted lower mouldings improves the look of a B5. Gotta be top 3 in my favorite bang-for-buck mods.

As for 3-400hp out if the motor in your car, there is absolutely, positively, ZERO chance of that happening. Sorry to **** in your cheerios. I had a 97 2.8 12v and traded it on my grocery getter. If you throw NOS at that motor it WILL explode, I guaran-damn-tee it. And as for bolt-ons, there is no such thing for that motor anymore. Same goes for tuning. With two valves per cylinder and no adjustable intake geometry, that motor is the red headed step child of B5 engines.

^^^ this. Chris is right, the 12v is essentially pointless for power. When others have said there are no mods, they're talking about power mods. And to the post a little ways up about the PES charger, it's a moot point anyhow since that's not for the 12v, it's for the 30v. Mod for looks, handling, and luxury. If you want power, swap engines or swap cars.
