Default 99 2.8 Will not idle sounds bad, checked vacuum

As the title says I'm working on my friends 2.8 and it was throwing a p0411 so I checked/replaced all the vacuum lines cleared the code and it hasn't come back. The engine sounds almost like something is loose in the head or something, but not quite. It does run with your foot on the gas but the more you rev it the louder the rattling/knocking sound gets. I did adapt the throttle body. At this point I am at a loss, the display is showing the oil icon, is that just because it needs to be reset somehow when it is changed? It has enough oil in it. I am completely at a loss at this point. Is it at all possible the timing belt skipped a tooth or something and is now causing it to not idle? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

you mean the "oh-****-theres-no-oil-pressure-so-stop-trying-to-run-the-engine" light?

I'm wondering if a cam chain tensioners failed. It would certainly destroy the idle quality and make a hell of a racket...
