Default 99 a4 fwd advice needed!

I just recently purchased a 99 a4 fwd auto with the trip as well, its a b5? it seems to have been sitting for a great while before i bought it considering theres leaves and dirt under the hood and trunk. The car has 144,000 miles on it and is completely stock. Im looking to do some things to it to make it a nice quick fun car since my last car was a junker jeep.

Ive taken it to an import shop an was told that ill be lucky if I get another 50,000 miles out of it. since having the car ive been doin the normal oil changes every 3000 miles and makin sure to keep the oil clean. ive had the MAF sensor replaced, n80 valve, new vacume hoses, an other odds an end things done. I dont have time for the DIY stuff since Im on the road all the time with work. Ive never owned a foreign car, this is my first. so any advice or help with this new world would be awesome!!

Take a few minutes to read the stickies. The easiest thing would be to get a nice tune from APR or similar and a new DV and you just added 50hp... Then easy stuff like springs/coilovers nice set of wheels and you have a decent car.

How would i go about getting a tune from APR? is that something i can just look up online an order? bc Ive read a few threads and some say take your ecu out and send it off to be tuned.. Like i said Im still new with the foreign car things. also how reliable are audi's bc in my mind they great cars and will last as long as you take care of them, right?
what about an exhaust? any difference between the brands..im trying not to go ricer i want a nice deeper sounding audi.

APR you can send in your ECU or find a local shop that does their flashes in and out pretty fast.

Honestly it is not that reliable... There is usually something wrong somewhere.

Exhaust you will be dropping a 1k for a full cat back.

I just realized you never said what motor you had. The flash/tune is assuming you have a 1.8t

I'd look at getting waterpump, timing belt and t-stat replaced unless you know when it was done last, and was within 60k miles before you start dropping too much money into mods into it.

That looks like a fun DIY... I wonder if the money I save doing it myself I could pay for a lift for my shop.. lol
