When i bought my car i noticed the buttons on the right of the climate control (air direction controls) were stuck. Well i've removed the climate control and it looks like a soda spill... hmm right under the cup holder, imagine that. Well anyway,

how do i remove the face of the climate control so I can clean up the buttons??

I believe these 2 hex screws need to be removed. My current hex set and allen set will not fit it though.


Here are 2 hex screws at the upper part of the unit that look like candidates for removal






Anyone had experience with removing this or have some pointers?

 

I have the exact same problem. did you find out how to open it? btw do you know a link where they explain how to remove the climate control?? thx!
